Colourscape Visit Lansdowne

Colourscape Workshop Visited Lansdowne for the week.

Last week, all pupils had the wonderful opportunity to experience a workshop with ColourScape, where they experimented with sound, light and colour to create their own original musical compositions and paint pouring patterns. The photos below give a glimpse of the extraordinary results and the fun the pupils had throughout the process.

All of the pupils had the opportunity to take part in the ColourScape light and sound workshops. In the sessions, the pupils were able to make their own music using instruments that work through laser beams and touch pads. The pupils worked in their groups to produce and perform their own compositions which included the instruments, their vocals and the colourful light display.

Pupils at Lansdowne School had an wonderful week with the visiting ColourScape Experience, taking over our art rooms to deliver fascinating and creative art activities. Pupils enjoyed making paint pouring with a real artist, creating surprising, organic and dreamy colourful patterns, with the added mystery of not knowing what patterns and colour blends they would get as they poured their paint combinations. In another art room, pupils had the opportunity to create sound landscapes, using sound, lights and colours to project vibrant and joyful silhouettes all around each other. It was really exciting to have ColourScape in school, and transform our art rooms and to meet real life artists. Thank you ColourScape!
